Trilogy Excursions

After being voted Maui’s Best Sea Activity for the third year in a row, some people might say there’s something in the water when it comes to Trilogy Excursions. Indeed. There are ample creatures to observe, whales to watch and adventures to have when sailing with Trilogy’s six-catamaran fleet, in a range of cruise options out of Lahaina, Maalaea, and Kaanapali.

New additions include O Pa‘ani Kai, a half-day of activities including kayaking, stand-up paddling, ocean scooters, snorkeling and sailing. And while Trilogy sails in blue waters, it’s always been green at heart, receiving the coveted 2008 Living Reef Award for its commitment to conservation. But LiAnne Coon has a different explanation for its success. The sales and public relations representative is a third-generation daughter of the Coon family that began Trilogy 38 years ago and has been happily running it ever since.

She thinks it’s about what goes on above the surface, on deck. While Mom Coon’s sticky buns go a long way to bringing guests to come back for repeat voyages, she ventures, “The true reason behind our success is our staff. Our dedicated captains and crew make it a priority to ensure each guest has the best day of their vacation while spending it with us … and the cool thing is, they do so unconsciously. Each member of the Trilogy ohana has a heart for the Hawaiian culture, our environment and getting people to smile!”
